The operation of the power network in Serbia is subject to follow-up and analysis; it comprises the operation of power lines, substations, high voltage equipment, relay protection systems and measuring equipment of the power grid of Serbia.

This Unit initiates the introduction of new technologies, new primary and secondary equipment aimed at the improvement of the Serbian network operation.

The "TECHNICAL UNIT" carries out tests, high voltage equipment maintenance and rely protection tasks for other energy entities participating in the electric energy generation, transmission and distribution, in the country and abroad. Also, the "TECHNICAL UNIT" provides consulting and other highly specialized technical services (laboratory for technical measurements and other services).

The "TECHNICAL UNIT" organizes specialist trainings and education of the staff for the electric energy transmission activities.
